How often should I water?

Tell us about your plant and where it lives - you'll get a sensible starting interval and, just as important, how to check before you pour. These are starting points, not rules: your finger in the soil always wins.

Water about every 7 days check the soil around day 6-8

Let the top 2-3 cm of soil dry out before watering again.

How to check: push a finger 2-3 cm into the soil. Dry at the tip? Time to water. Still damp or cool? Wait a day or two and check again. A cheap moisture meter or lifting the pot (light = dry) works too.

โš ๏ธ Overwatering kills more houseplants than underwatering. When the soil check and this estimate disagree, trust the soil. Pots without drainage, cold rooms and dense soil all hold water longer - lean drier.
